PERSONALITY:First impressions of Quatre are depend wildly upon what he's doing when they meet him. A Quatre met on the street pleasantly is quite a different impression than a Quatre met on the battlefield.
- What impression does your character give when meeting someone for the first time? How does the first impression differ from your character’s true nature?
In normal day to day, Quatre comes across as a pleasant, polite young man with a tendency to be soft spoken. He's a little distant, but also friendly at the same time. Striking a balance between manners and familiarity with seeming ease. A short conversation reveals that he's quite an intelligent young man, well schooled and clearly from a quite well off family. One might even say he has some of the mannerisms of a young person who's grown up with a not insubstantial amount of wealth.
In reality? Quatre is those things. He's polite, pleasant, well educated, and generally pretty sanguine personality. It's just that it's all surface level. Beneath that, he's even smarter than he usually lets on, with a mind that's honed on tactics and command. He's tactical, and quite ruthless at his core. He's not the same as he was, but there's still a shadow of the bitter young child who hated everyone, especially himself.Quatre is quite used to stress. Like most people from his world, especially those who he's close to. War is nothing but stress for those on the front line after all. Even during the war, he'd kept a certain amount of hope even in the darkest times. He's not one to just give up. At least not usually. There are exceptions for everyone.
- How does your character handle stress? What do they do in an emergency?
His turns out to be a seemingly endless pile of paperwork in a job position that he's not suited for in the slightest. The situation leaving him frustrated, on edge, and at least a little irritated at everything. It's tedious, unpleasant work and he hates it, which just adds to his stress. Though he tries to not take that stress out on others if he can help it.
Emergencies on the other hand? They usually see Quatre as cool, in control, the consummate tactician ready to plan and find a way to resolve the emergency. If there's a problem, if you resolve it, there's no more emergency. And he's quite good at solving problems.Despite his young age, Quatre has a fairly high number of regrets that he's managed to acquire over the course of his life. Unfortunately, one of his longest regrets has always been existing at all. Seeing himself as manufactured, a tool, he grew up very bitter and without cherishing his own life or that of those around him. During the war he acquires many, many more in the way that wars often give soldiers regrets. Maybe if they'd acted differently here, maybe if they'd never gone there, etc. While the war has helped him see the value in a life beyond what he's learned from his own experiences, it also gives him some very hard lessons.
- What are some of your character's regrets? How is your character impacted by them?
Like almost killing one of the people he's come to value most in the world. Trowa's fate and subsequent amnesia. As well as all the complications thereof, weight heavily on the young man. Because it's unarguably his fault. He did that. There's no one else he can blame for the actions but himself. It's quite a bitter pill to swallow. Especially for someone who'd only in the last few years come to realize just how precious life can be.
He still has nightmares about it to this day. The regret and guilt eating away at him while he tries, with mixed results, to pretend like everything is okay. That nothing's wrong.
INVENTORY: It's not a bag exactly, but could he have his violin, by chance instead of a bag? If not, is there a way to get one in the city or is that something to save for a regain or the like?

SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Okay, this gets... complicated, because they never both explaining any of this in the show. BUT there seems to be some general agreement about Quatre's status as at least a sort of pseudo-Newtype.
Extrasensory Perception - aka the heart of space as he helpfully calls it. Quatre possesses a certain level of preternatural empathy and what seems to be rudimentary telepathy on more than one occasion. It allows him to sense people's intentions, giving him the ability to trust people unflinchingly upon meeting them. Simply because his senses tell him that they're safe to trust. Can feel other people's emotions if he's close enough to them, and even take some of their pain onto himself to suffer in their stead.
Other than that, he's fairly average for a teenager who fought in a war. Skilled pilot, familiar with firearms, explosives, brilliant tactical mind, and some sword ability. Likely from being the only boy and apparent heir of a ridiculously wealthy family. The education an aristocrat. Passionate about art and painting, as well as being an exceptionally fine violinist. Also has a very strong mental will, being one of the few capable of mastering the Zero system.But at what cost?
NERFING:
Nerf it to the ground! 20% Quatre is almost back to where he started. Able to get brushes of emotion if he tries and only the vaguest of impressions. He needs to be physically close for it to happen, and while it's stronger with people he knows well - IE the other pilots, it's not to the level he's grown used to anymore.
Also, he's going to be quite prone to headaches from trying to stretch this power. To try and grow it himself, like he had once before. Might even be some nosebleeds in his future. :)
